ACTIVATE STUDENT MEMBERSHIP
Follow these steps to activate and get started with the Fitness Centre, drop-in and intramural sports and racquet courts at Burnaby campus. Recreation Memberships become available to activate on the first day of the term.
Steps to Activate Your Burnaby Student Recreation Membership
- Confirm your eligibility for a membership covered by student fees.
- Log in to your student account via
- Click Complete your 51猎奇入口Athletics & Recreation Waiver Now
- Read and agree to the waiver*
- Within one business day, your 51猎奇入口ID Card and member ID on the 51猎奇入口Recreation App will be connected to your membership.
- Your access begins when the term starts.
* Cannot be completed in person. Waiver must be completed online every September to renew membership.
Confirm Eligibility
If you are an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in at least three credits this term and have been assessed the Recreation Athletics fee, your Burnaby Recreation Membership is covered. You can check if you have been assessed the Recreation Athletics fee by logging in to your Student Centre through . Common instances of ineligibility include:
- Participating in a co-op term
- Participating in a field study
- Taking all online courses
- Taking less than three credits this term (including summer)
If ineligible for a Recreation Membership covered by student fees, you can still enjoy all that 51猎奇入口Recreation has to offer by purchasing a Community Membership or Program Pass (including Pilates, yoga, climbing, group fitness and more).
When to Renew
As an eligible student, you must sign the 51猎奇入口Athletics & Recreation Waiver each year to maintain your membership. All Student Memberships expire on August 31, regardless of when the waiver was signed. To renew your membership for the new academic year, visit each fall and complete the waiver.
Students renewing a Surrey or Vancouver Membership must also register for the appropriate campus membership at each term, after completing the annual waiver. Once registered, visit one of these Surrey Recreation Centres or one of these Vancouver Recreation Centres at the start of each term to activate your membership.
Please note that your membership will no longer remain active if your eligibility status changes.
