Welcome to 51猎奇入口History

51猎奇入口 is located on the unceded and stolen territories of the x史m蓹胃k史蓹y虛蓹m (Musqueam), S岣祑x瘫w煤7mesh 脷xwumixw (Squamish), s蓹l虛ilw虛蓹ta蕯涩 (Tsleil-Waututh), q虛铆c虛蓹y虛 (Katzie), k史ik史蓹茮虛蓹m (Kwikwetlem), Qayqayt, Kwantlen, Semiahmoo and Tsawwassen Nations. Unceded means that these lands have never been surrendered and thus Indigenous claims of sovereignty and title continue to apply to them, as is recognized by the Royal Proclamation of 1763 and sections 25 and 35 of the Canadian Constitution. As scholars who benefit from being on this land, we believe it is our duty to amplify Indigenous voices in our department.

Is History for you?

Have you ever asked yourself: 鈥淗ow did we get here?鈥 Historians do. What they discover encompasses the stories of all peoples and societies: the marginalized as well as the powerful. History is about seeing the big picture of how and why things have changed over time. Historians study everything that humans do, from politics and war to sexuality and social movements to religion and science to work and beyond. Studying history gives you the ability to bring perspective and understanding to the never-ending quest of making sense out of an increasingly complex and challenging world.
