UN Bonn Climate Change Conference

Applications to attend the June 8 – 18, 2026, at the World Conference Centre in Bonn, Germany, are now open. This is an excellent opportunity for researchers to participate in technical workshops and engage with the UN climate ecosystem on the road to COP 31.

As per UNFCCC process, 51ÁÔÆæÈë¿Úwill submit names of those interested in attending and will receive its badge allocation in mid-March. Badges will then be distributed on a first come, first served basis. Transportation, accommodation, and all other expenses are not included.

Eligibility

Open to all 51ÁÔÆæÈë¿Úfaculty.

How to apply

Please submit a short expression of interest to kaylab@sfu.ca.

Please indicate:

  • your faculty and area of expertise as it relates to the conference;
  • if you have attended any UN conference(s) previously; and
  • specific dates that you would like to attend the conference.

The expression of interest deadline is Tuesday, March 10th, 4pm. Conference attendees will be required to provide their passport number and other information for registration in the UNFCCC registration portal.  Successful applicants will need to apply for a German Visa, as required.
