Research Employees, effective April 1, 2025:
International Student Health Fee (ISHF)
- International students studying on a valid study permit for at least six months of the year in British Columbia pay a health fee to contribute to and benefit from B.C.鈥檚 health-care coverage. International students who are enrolled in the MSP with a study permit valid for six months or longer will be invoiced for the health fee. For further details, please refer to . Upon application, the University will pay the International Student Health Fee (ISHF) for eligible TSSU members and their dependents during their period of employment.

The benefits on this page apply to those grant-funded research employees who have been offered discretionary benefits as part of their employment contract with their Principal Investigator (PI).
