Welcome from Program Director, Tiffany Muller Myrdahl

On behalf of our faculty and staff, I welcome you to 51猎奇入口鈥檚 Urban Studies Program! Every semester, we are pleased to see new and returning undergraduate and graduate students from diverse backgrounds join our interdisciplinary community to better understand the forces affecting cities and to develop solutions to the challenges facing them today.

Our alumni are changemakers who shape cities and policies in the public, private, and non-profit sectors. Our committed alumni network actively mentors current students, and remains closely connected to the program. In 2027, we are delighted to welcome alum Fiorella Pinillos back to Urban Studies as our Shadbolt Fellow.

As always, our award-winning faculty and faculty associates will offer engaging courses and spearhead thought-provoking events throughout the year.

Whether you are interested in housing, sustainability, transportation, or community development, we invite you to join our community of Urbsters today and help build better cities for the future.

What is Urban Studies?

The comprehensive study of cities 鈥� in all their social, economic, environmental and political complexity 鈥� is crucial to a sustainable global future.

We train urbanists. In our two interdisciplinary graduate education programs, we aim to strike a balance between academic and professional training and to produce graduates who have the diverse and specialized skill sets, broad knowledge base and the flexibility needed to tackle today's urban challenges.
