Students Participating in a Field School Term

Full-time students may be able to receive additional funding to assist with the extra costs associated with Field School when they apply for government-issued student aid. For the additional living and educational costs to be considered in your student aid assessment, your Field School must be offered through SFU鈥檚 International Service for Students office.

• Students applying for StudentAid BC funding will need to request an online Program Information Request to be completed by Financial Aid and Awards to provide additional living and educational costs associated with your Field School opportunity. During your Field School, you will apply for funding using your degree path as your program, such as Arts or Science, and choosing the Study Period Offering that corresponds to your Field School location. Most approved Field Schools are offered during the summer term.
