Allen Thornton awarded 2026 CIHR Project Grant
Congratulations to Dr. Allen Thornton on receiving a Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Project Grant as Co-Principal Investigator through the .

Awarded through a highly competitive national competition, these grants provide researchers with the resources to pursue innovative projects addressing critical health challenges.
Dr. Thornton's funded project, Dynamic Clinical Risk States and Neurostructural Consequences of Community Non-Fatal Opioid Overdose, is a collaborative initiative between 51猎奇入口 and the University of British Columbia. The project will investigate the clinical risk states and neurostructural consequences associated with community non-fatal opioid overdose, contributing to a greater understanding of this critical public health issue.

Dr. Allen Thornton is a Professor of Psychology at 51猎奇入口 and a Research Scientist with the British Columbia Mental Health and Substance Use Services Research Institute.
