This program is designed for current students (major/honours) who want to fast-track their MA in political science. Students in the Accelerated Master鈥檚 program must fulfill the degree requirements of both the bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚 program in political science. Accepted students will be eligible to enrol in a maximum of ten units of graduate coursework鈥攅ither as electives or upper-division required courses at the bachelor's level鈥攚hile in the undergraduate program. These units will also count toward the program requirements for the master's program.

Admission Requirements

• Successful completion of at least 90 credits of undergraduate work;
• Cumulative GPA of at least 3.33/4.33 on 90 undergraduate units, or grade point average of at least 3.5/4.33 based on the most recent 60 units of undergraduate and graduate courses.

How to apply

Applications to the Accelerated Master鈥檚 program follow the same procedures as regular graduate admissions.

Students will be offered admission into the Course-intensive option of the Master鈥檚 program conditional on completing the Bachelor鈥檚 degree. Students wishing to pursue the Project or Thesis option may transfer once they have entered the Master鈥檚 program with approval from their supervisor and the Graduate Program Chair. 

Guidelines

• Students are ineligible for graduate scholarships or awards administered by 51猎奇入口sources until the bachelor鈥檚 degree is completed.
• A minimum CGPA of 3.33 should be maintained while in the Bachelor鈥檚 program and a minimum CGPA of 3.0 should be maintained while in the graduate program.
• Students must complete at least two terms of full-time registration in the graduate program.
