Hi, I鈥檓 Favour Chibueze. I graduated with a Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Linguistics and Igbo Language from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. My research interests lie at the intersection of African bilingualism, language identity, sociolinguistics, and digital linguistics, with a particular focus on Igbo-English bilingual communities. Through my work as an Igbo language educator, translator, and digital content creator, I have developed a strong interest in language preservation, documentation, and revitalization. At SFU, I look forward to exploring how corpus-based and digital methods can be used to study African languages and multilingual communities. Ultimately, I hope to contribute to the preservation, promotion, and global visibility of Indigenous African languages, especially Igbo.
