Abstract

The malware-armed criminals continue to set new records in the volume of cyberattacks, threat鈥檚 sophistication and victim鈥檚 recovery costs. At SophosLabs, we process over 300,000 potentially malicious files every day, discover tens of thousands malicious websites and handle millions of spam messages. This data, along with billions of security events captured by the 鈥渃loud鈥, create a gigantic opportunity for threat discovery and protection development.

In this talk, we鈥檒l review current and future trends in cyber-threat landscape and counter-measures, explain the factors that drive the numbers up and will explore how Big Data analysis technology became the critical and industry-shaping aspect of cyber-security.
