Employment Opportunities in MSE
Mechatronic Systems Engineering (MSE) welcomes qualified graduate and undergraduate students to apply for Teaching Assistant (TA) positions for MSE courses. Students must apply/reapply and be selected for TA positions each term. All positions are subject to budgetary approval and sufficient enrollment.

MSE courses are scheduled for in-person delivery and TAs are expected to be available in-person for all scheduled class, and lab and/or tutorial assignments for the duration of the contract.
The salary for each base unit is $1,242. Masters’ students receive an additional scholarship amount of $190 per base unit and Ph.D. students receive an additional scholarship of $420 per base unit. Estimated base unit assignments may vary depending on final enrollment numbers. Based on the 2022-2024 TSSU Wage Schedules (sfu.ca).
