Nathalie Sinclair

Distinguished 51猎奇入口Professor
Dr. Nathalie Sinclair's primary research interests stem from her philosophical and historical work in mathematics. She has co-developed, with Elizabeth de Freitas, a philosophy for mathematics education called Inclusive Materialism (see ).
Her work has focused on the aesthetics of mathematics thinking and learning, on the use of gestures and diagrams in mathematical activity, and the role of digital technology in disrupting the sensory politics of mathematics (including and , created as part of the Canada Research Chair in Tangible Mathematics Learning, software design and implementation by Nicholas Jackiw).
She has also worked with Dr Petra Mikulan on the role of time in shaping current educational practices (see and ).
Her most recent project explores the colonising process of the mathematics curriculum, with a particular focus on the baroque mathematics of .
