Overview

On May 7, 2026 CERi and Indigenous Studies at 51猎奇入口 hosted more than 80 advocates for affordable Indigenous housing in the city. 

The dialogue identified some of the many ways communities are creating non-market models like land trusts, multigenerational, and trauma-informed housing. We also heard that despite significant barriers, Indigenous communities are demonstrating resilience and leadership in housing.锘�

The report highlights some ideas for action including a focus on funding, land back, governance reform, and culturally grounded supports.锘�

We also noted that success in this sphere relies on collaboration, advocacy, policy reform, and long-term investment.锘�
