Hello #SFUarchaeology Students, Staff, and Faculty!

Did you do any archaeology-themed art or crafts this summer, or work on research at home?? Did you defend your thesis??? Were you lucky enough to be out working in the field, in beautiful or absolutely miserable weather????

We want to know what this summer of archaeology looked like for you!

We’re accepting snapshots of field or lab work (past or present), images of you working hard on your coursework or defending your thesis, and photos of any art or crafts you are working on this summer – all with an archaeology theme. (Please be sure that photos of any lab or field work were taken with permission of the director or your supervisor!)

Submit your photos using THIS FORM by end of day September 30, 2026 (Wednesday).

1^st prize - $300

2^nd prize - $200

3^rd prize - $100

• Photos must be taken by you (declaration required from you and any models)
• If taken in the lab or in the field, make sure you have permission to take photos and share! Some artifacts and some sites are sensitive and can't be shared.
• Must be willing to share your rights to the photo
• Maximum 4 photos per entry
• Caption required for each photo – location, description, be creative (but keep it short!)!
• Open to undergrad and grad students, faculty and staff in the 51ÁÔÆæÈë¿ÚDepartment of Archaeology
