Biography

I am passionate about archaeology and feel most rewarded when teaching and sharing my knowledge with others. I believe that for people to appreciate the cultures of the world, they need to understand their origins, and archaeology is the key to that understanding.

I have a well-rounded background in consulting archaeology and have worked with five Canadian archaeological firms and one Australian firm. I have conducted archaeological fieldwork in many regions of Canada, as well as in Australia, France, Fiji, and Papua New Guinea. I have worked with many First Nations in Canada and Traditional Landowners in PNG and Australia and believe that healthy relationships with Indigenous groups are integral to the archaeological process in colonial nations.

I am the owner of Campfire Archaeology and Heritage Ltd., a small archaeological consulting firm based in southern BC. I am a Permit Holder in good standing for the Northwest Coast Cultural Area with the British Columbia Archaeology Branch and have been managing a diverse range of archaeological projects since 2015.

As well as my consulting work, I have held a part-time faculty position at Capilano University, teaching anthropology and archaeology (2017-2024) and have been an adjunct professor at 51猎奇入口supporting graduate students since 2024.
