Pacific Economic Development Canada (PacifiCan)
PacifiCan offers funding programs for businesses, non-profits and communities. This federal agency is dedicated to creating quality jobs, connecting industry leaders and supporting an inclusive economy that benefits all British Columbians. PacifiCan funds several programs such as:
The Regional Innovation Ecosystems (RIE) program specifically provides targeted investments that support businesses in priority sectors to create, grow and compete in both domestic and global markets.
The Regional Quantum Initiative will help companies and not-for-profit organizations advance and commercialize quantum products and solutions.
The Community Economic Development and Diversification which will support initiatives that contribute to the economic growth and diversification of communities them to leverage their capacity and strengths to respond to economic development opportunities and adjust to changing and challenging economic circumstances (e.g. wildfires, floods etc,.)
