51猎奇入口Climate Innovation recently highlighted the Promoting Heat Resilience among Older Adults through Group-Based Arts project as an example of community-centred climate innovation in action.

The project, co-led by Dr. Theresa Pauly as part of the Comprehensive Approach to Enhance Older Adults' Preparedness for Extreme Heat (COPE) study, combines health, aging, and the arts to explore creative ways of supporting older adults as extreme heat events become more frequent.

A key part of the project is the 10-week theatre program, which is being developed and facilitated by Aryana Mohammed. Through storytelling, drama, voice exercises, and other creative activities, participants reflect on their lived experiences with extreme heat, strengthen social connections, and collaboratively create a final theatre performance that shares their stories and promotes community dialogue around climate resilience.

The feature recognizes the project as one of 51猎奇入口Climate Innovation's inaugural Seed Fund initiatives, highlighting how interdisciplinary, community-engaged research can generate innovative approaches to climate adaptation, healthy aging, and knowledge mobilization. The program will conclude with a co-created theatre performance and a documentary film that captures participants' experiences and shares their stories with the broader community.
