Alyson Straub
Alyson Straub holds a bachelor of science in kinesiology from the University of Ottawa, a rehabilitation and disability management diploma from 51ÁÔÆæÈë¿Ú, and a master’s degree in disability management with a focus on work disability prevention and early intervention for both mental and physical injuries. She is a Certified Disability Management Professional (CDMP) through NIDMAR and a Registered Rehabilitation Professional (RRP) through the Vocational Rehabilitation Association.
Alyson is the chief operating officer at Diversified Rehabilitation Group, where she provides strategic and operational leadership in the delivery of rehabilitation, disability management and workplace mental health services. Prior to this, Alyson worked in various leadership roles with WorkSafeBC leading teams and initiatives focused on improving outcomes for injured workers and advancing evidence-informed return-to-work practices.
Her professional practice and academic interests centre on work disability prevention, early intervention, rehabilitation and sustainable return-to-work outcomes, with a particular interest in supporting first responders and other workers experiencing complex physical and psychological health challenges.
